GET READY FOR A BETTER PARKOUR!

Scramble Parkour is temporarily closed while we introduce several new upgrades to the experience. (Note: Union Station Café will remain open during construction!) Here’s what you can expect!
NEW COFFEE BAR
First – and opening very soon – will be the Train Yard, a new coffee bar and social area for parents with young children. The Train Yard will feature delicious, locally sourced coffee from Open Seas Coffee, selected treats and healthy options, ample stroller parking, and a wonderful soft play area for infants and toddlers, including a slide!
The Train Yard will be located upstairs from the main Parkour areas. We wanted an area where parents and nannies could gather with young children and relax, away from the larger and more energetic play happening downstairs. Best of all, admission to this area will be free with a purchase from the Cafe! We expect the Train Yard to open toward the end of September; watch our social feed for announcements!
UPGRADED PLAY EQUIPMENT
Next, we’re upgrading our play areas for younger children downstairs. Two play zones (Tidal Basin and Friendship Heights) will be getting new soft play equipment similar to our Indoor Play locations in Alexandria and Falls Church. These improvements will create more opportunities for both physical and cognitive play – an essential part of early childhood development.
And finally, we’re redesigning Scramble Parkour’s main attractions – the J Street and Metro Plaza sections – to introduce all-new parkour physical challenges and a huge maze-like area. These improved attractions will test and entertain older children (and even adults) as never before!
While the Union Station Café will remain open throughout construction (and Train Yard will be opening soon, remember), our downstairs makeover will take a little longer to complete. If all goes well, we expect to reopen Scramble Parkour to the public at the end of October. Again, follow our Instagram feed to see the developments!
