Family Fun at Scramble Alexandria: Your Day of Kids’ Activities

Heading to Scramble Alexandria for a party or a day of kids activities in Alexandria VA? Here’s what to expect and how to plan your visit!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Scramble Alexandria has a soft spot in our hearts because it’s the first location we opened in 2017. It’s not as big as Scramble Falls Church, or as new as Scramble Parkour, but it’s a beloved community gathering spot for families who have been coming here time and again. Scramble Alexandria offers physical and cognitive kids activities in Alexandria VA for all children up to age 12.
HOW DO I GET TO SCRAMBLE ALEXANDRIA?
Scramble Alexandria is easy to get to by car or Metro train. The address is 5412 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, Virg., 22304. This is just north of I-495, about halfway between Alexandria and Springfield. If you’re driving I-495 South, take exit 174 and turn left on Eisenhower. If you’re on I-495 North, take exit 173, turn left on S. Van Dorn St., then right on Eisenhower.
Parking is available in the lot outside our location, but it can fill up on weekends. If the lot is full, you can park at Metro’s Van Dorn Street Station, which is just a 5-minute, traffic-free walk from our location and free on weekends and holidays. If you’re taking public transit, you’ll be happy to know that Blue Line trains run every 10 to 15 minutes. There are plenty of DASH Bus and Metrobus options too.
FOOD & DRINK
Our first recommendation is to check out the onsite cafe, which offers a great menu of food and drinks–and free wifi so parents can stay connected or get work done while the kids play. Pizza and tacos are surefire kid-pleasers, while beer and wine options are available for the adults.
We’re justifiably proud of our menu, but there’s another reason why we recommend it first – and that’s because, honestly, good restaurant options are in short supply within a five-minute drive of our location. Some ones we can recommend include Shah’s Halal Food and ZeMeda Market for Ethiopian fare.
WHAT ELSE CAN FAMILIES DO NEAR SCRAMBLE ALEXANDRIA?
There are many attractions to see if you’re visiting Alexandria from outside the city. In particular, be sure to check out Alexandria’s Old Town & Historic District along the Potomac River. Further south, you’ll find George Washington’s Mount Vernon, home of the nation’s first president. These areas are must-see destinations for anyone with an interest in our nation’s history; they contain some of the best-preserved buildings from the 1700s and early 1800s you can find in the United States.
WHY SCRAMBLE ALEXANDRIA IS PERFECT FOR FAMILIES
From indoor climbing and interactive play to café breaks with WiFi, Scramble Alexandria is the go-to spot for Kids activities in Alexandria VA. Kids burn energy, parents relax, and the whole family enjoys a day filled with fun.
Plan your next visit and make it a day of family fun in Alexandria VA!
